Northwest Band Parent Organization Board Members
Officers
President - Sets meeting agendas, runs meetings, and serves as an ex-officio member of all committees.
Vice President
Runs meetings in the absence of the President and assists with executive affairs.
Secretary
Takes notes at board meetings and sends them to the President and website manager to post on the website in a timely manner.
Manages the monetary account balances and financial records.
Committee Chairs
Concessions
Works with the band directors and event chairs to plan out the concessions needed for the year.
Equipment
Coordinates with directors to design, build, transport, and maintain marching show props and scenery. Instructs volunteer crews for transportation, setup, teardown, and on-field performances to ensure all equipment is accounted for and show-ready.
Fundraising
Organizes and drives all fundraising efforts for the band and NWBPO.
Can Shack Coordinator
Collaborates with the WBPO representative to set the schedule, organize volunteers, provide the key code, and maintain the Can Shack building.
Spirit Night Coordinator
Organizes Spirit/Restaurant Nights throughout the year.
Guard Liason
Represents the color guard, including the staff and parents.
Uniforms
Organizes and distributes marching uniforms and concert wear to all students. Instructs volunteer crews for pre/post performance uniform needs and procedures.
Volunteer Coordinator
Works with band directors and committee chairs on volunteer needs, develops and maintains sign-ups for events, and manages volunteer check-ins at large events.
Website Manager
Coordinates with directors and President to keep the website up to date and manage online communications.
Wolf Wearhouse/Website Merchandise
Manages the ordering and selling of clothing and accessories during home football games and other events.
At-Large Representatives
Act as liaisons for intermediate directors and parents, providing NWBPO related news and information to those schools.
Event Coordinators
Northwest Marching Classic Coordinator
Works with the band directors to coordinate the marching event.
BlueNote Jazz Festival Coordinator
Works with the band directors to coordinate the jazz event.
IIMA Waukee Coordinator
Collaborates with the WBPO representative to plan and coordinate this color guard and percussion fundraiser event.
